The Downtown Brentwood Holiday Parade, our fun and festive Holiday parade is scheduled on November 19, 2011 (Saturday) starting at 2:30 p.m. The parade route will be along First Street, ending at Pine Street. For more information, check out the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce website.
The Tree Lighting and Santa's Arrival at the Streets of Brentwood will be on November 26, 2011 (Saturday) starting at 6:00 p.m. For more information, check out the Streets of Brentwood website.
Meanwhile, the City of Brentwood's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting is scheduled for December 2, 2011 (Friday) at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center parking lot at 193 Griffith Lane. The festivities start at 6 p.m. and include music, singing and a visit from Santa Claus, followed at 7pm by the official lighting of the Christmas tree. This holiday event is sponsored by the City of Brentwood and the Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee (BANC).
Speaking of the Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee (BANC), the BANC is seeking homes within the Brentwood city limits whose front yards capture the spirit of the season. This special version of BANC's Home of the Month Program will select one home as the 2011 winner, who will receive a yard sign stating their winning status, gift basket, and a parking pass giving them special parking privileges at the Home Depot. If you know of a home you'd like to nominate for the Home of the Season Contest, please visit the City's website and click on the link for BANC. December 3, 2011 is Oakley's turn to light up their Christmas tree! Join them at the Civic Center Plaza for the Christmas Tree Lighting, which also includes crafts, games, caroling, and pictures with Santa! The event is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Oakley's Civic Center Plaza is located at 3031 Main Street, Oakley, CA.
2011 marks the Inaugural Brentwood Festival of Trees, a community event organized by volunteers with all proceeds directly benefiting local non-profit and service organizations. The festival spans three days -- December 2nd to the 4th, 2011 with open hours to view and enjoy the trees on December 2nd (Friday) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., December 3rd (Saturday) from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and December 4th (Sunday) from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. There are also four special events planned that are open to the public - check them out here and click on the event to find out more information and ticket prices. The second annual Super Holiday Boutique is happening at the Centre Concord in Concord, CA. This free event will offer a variety of shopping opportunities, pictures with Santa, entertainment, live music, free gift bags, food, a fun children's activity zone, and over 80 vendors. This event is on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 11:00 - 4:00 p.m. at 5298 Clayton Road, Concord, CA. Check out their press release for more information about this event.
Little Miss Everything's Holiday Fashion Show is scheduled on December 10, 2011 (Saturday) from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Little Miss Everything, 220 Oak Street in Downtown Brentwood. Have Breakfast with Santa on December 10, 2011 at the Brentwood Senior Center at 193 Griffith Lane. There will be four seatings - at 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12 noon. The general admission is $8.00 while children under 3 years old is free! Admission includes a full pancake breakfast, visit with Santa, candy cane, coloring activities and live entertainment by the Heritage High School Jazz Band. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Heritage High school Performing Arts Boosters. It seems like Santa will be busy that morning - there is also a Breakfast with Santa at Black Bear Diner on December 10, 2011 (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Adults get 2 pancakes, egg, bacon, sausage and coffee for $8.50. Children (12 and under) get 1 pancake, egg, bacon, sausage, and a small milk - for $6.50. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. There is also a Holiday Bazaar coming up that weekend. Sponsored by Bay Area Boutiquers, this event is scheduled on December 10, 2011 (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Shops at Fairview on 3101 Balfour Road in Brentwood. This event promises to have lots of shopping and fun stuff for kids including a visit from Santa!
The Sand Creek Crossing also has a holiday event! Holiday Santa's Workshop is scheduled on Saturday, December 10, 2011 (from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.) - and it promises an afternoon with Santa, crafts, holiday entertainment, and more!
Come and enjoy a Special Holiday Concert by the Summerset Singers on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center. Holiday On Ice - Season IV is running from November 19, 2011 to January 16, 2012 this winter season! Come and celebrate the season and ice-skate at this twinkling light-filled outdoor ice rink.
