The Winter Holiday Season is just about to begin! We're excited to enter the season of Holiday fairs and parades, tree lightings, and breakfast dates with Santa.


Here's our current list of Holiday-themed events in Brentwood, Oakley, and surrounding areas. If you know of any more, or any updates or edits on the ones below, please send it to us on our Brentwood Events Page, so we can keep updating the list.

 

Weekly Holiday Faire at the Shops at Fairview starting November 2
A weekly retail event at The Shops at Fairview on Balfour Road and Fairview Avenue in Brentwood, CA. The Holiday Faire will be open every weekend starting November 2, 2012 through Jan 6, 2013.

 

Hours are: Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

The 30th Annual Holiday Parade on November 17

Floats, Cars, Non-Profit Groups, Bands, Dancing Horses. Santa will come in a white horse driven carriage at the end of the parade. Pictures with Santa at the Brentwood Press Building following the parade.

 

Commencing on First Street in Downtown Brentwood
Saturday, November 17th, 2:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Staging to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Brentwood Holiday on Ice is open from November 17 to January 21 
Now on its 5th season, located at the Streets of Brentwood.  
Hours of Operation is from 12:30 to 10:30 p.m.

 

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

@ The Streets of Brentwood on November 24
Join the Hipwaders, Tap Dancing Christmas Trees and Santa as they light the Holiday tree at The Streets of Brentwood! Plus, hop onboard the Party Line Express for a free train ride in the Plaza!


Saturday, November 24th, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Brentwood Festival of Trees on November 30, December 1 and 2

Featuring beautifully decorated trees of varied sizes and themes plus wreaths and mantelpieces, music by local entertainers and delicious food. This event provides the perfect setting for you to launch your holiday season. The Brentwood Festival of Trees is designed to benefit and highlight the work of the 14 non-profit and service organizations that enhance the Brentwood Community.

 

November 30, December 1 & 2, 2012 @ The Shadow Lakes Event Center, 401 West Country Club Drive Brentwood.

Friday, Nov 30th: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

The City of Brentwood's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

on November 30

This year’s celebration will take place at the City Park in Downtown Brentwood. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. and include music, singing, and a visit from Santa, followed at 7:00 p.m. by the official lighting of the Christmas tree. This Holiday event is sponsored by the City of Brentwood and the Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee (BANC).

 

Friday, November 30, 2012, 6:00 p.m. @ The Brentwood Community Center & City Park, 35 Oak Street.

 

The City of Oakley Christmas Tree Lighting on December 1
The City of Oakley will host the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 1 at the Civic Center Plaza, 3231 Main Street. The event will start at 5:00 p.m. with performances by local children's choirs along with free cocoa and cookies for all. There will be a make-n-take craft for children to take home and Santa will be on hand to visit with children and pose for photographs. Christmas Tree Lighting will tart at approximately 6:00 p.m. For more information, check out the City of Oakley website.

Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1
An Out of This Word Christmas!
More than 200 lighted floats and vehicles. Thousands of parade participants.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church presents

"A Christmas Gala Concert" on December 2
Featuring the different choirs and ensembles of the IHM Music Ministry: Children's, English, Spanish, Filipino, the Traditional Latin, and a Chamber Orchestra. Directed by Ed Magistrado. With special guests: the Handbell Ringers and Children's Choir from the Christian Hilltop Adventist School of Antioch, directed by Ms. Ruth Wright.

 

The program features sacred and secular solo, choral, and instrumental works from different genres.

 

Sunday, December 2nd at 7:45 p.m. at the IHM Church @ 500 Fairview Avenue in Brentwood. This is an open seating event. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

 

Tickets are on pre-sale at $10 (until Nov. 18). Regular price is $15 from November 19-December 2. Tickets may be purchased at the IHM Parish Office, or by calling 925-634-4154, ext. 112.

 

Brunch with Santa on December 8

The City of Oakley will host "Brunch with Santa" on Saturday, December 8 at Black Bear Diner, 3201 Main Street in Oakley. Two seatings will be offered, at 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required at City Hall. (No registration will be taken at Black Bear Diner). Be sure to bring your camera to capture the moment with Santa!

 

Adults: $8.75 include 2 pancakes, one egg (scrambled), 1 piece bacon, 1 piece sausage, coffee or milk
Children (12 and under): $6.75 include 1 pancake, one egg (scrambled), 1 piece bacon, 1 piece sausage and small milk.

Santa's Helper Shop 'til You Drop Daycare on December 8
For ages 4-yrs old to 10-yrs old

Do you need to finish up your Holiday Shopping without the children in tow? Parks and Recreation is offering daycare for 5 hours on Saturday, December 8. While at the Community Center, children will participate in games, arts and crafts, decorating gingerbread houses, watching movies, and other activities.

 

Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 12:00 noon - 5:00 @ The Brentwood Community Center, 35 Oak Street. First child $15, additional children $10 each. Pre-registration is required! Here’s the event flyer for more information. Call 516-5444 to ask for more details, or to register for Class #12760.

 

The Nutcracker, presented by Brentwood Children's Ballet Theater

on December 15 & 16
Saturday and Sunday, December 15 & 16, 2012 @ The El Campanil Theater in Antioch. Showtimes are 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. Tickets prices are $14-$20.

Staci Frenes Performs 'Stories for the Holidays' Benefit Show

at Stories Bookshop on December 21
Recording artist Staci Frenes will perform an acoustic concert Friday, December 21st at 7:00 p.m. at Stories Bookshop (629 First Street) in Brentwood, CA. Holiday refreshments will be served, and attendees are asked to bring a new children's book as the price of admission, which will be donated to local shelters.
