Yes it’s that time of the year again!

Welcome Santa and Tree Lighting Event 2015 at the Streets of Brentwood on November 28, 2015 (Saturday) 5:30-8:30 p.m. Join Santa and Mayor Bob Taylor, as they light The Streets' Holiday Tree, with special performances by select groups, plus free raffle and limited selfies with Santa. Holiday BOWtique, a craft fair fundraiser event at the Shadow Lakes Event Center, 401 W. Country Club Drive, Brentwood, on November 29, 2015 (Sunday) 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.  All proceeds support Homeless Animals Lifeline Organization and Furry Friends Food relief. Come do some Christmas shopping while supporting a great cause. Photos with Santa for people and/or their pets, raffle, craft vendors and much more! Admission is FREE! Brentwood’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Brentwood Community Center and City Park (35 Oak Street) in Downtown Brentwood on  December 4, 2015 (Friday) 6:00 p.m.  Festivities  start at 6:00 p.m. and include music, singing, and a visit from Santa Claus, followed at 7:00 p.m. by the official lighting of the Christmas tree. The holiday happening is sponsored by the City of Brentwood and the Brentwood advisory Neighborhood Committee (BANC).  Check out the event flyer.

 

Oakley’s Christmas Tree Lighting at the Oakley Civic Center Plaza on December 5, 2015 (Saturday) 4:00 p.m.  Caroling, crafts, cookies, cocoa, and Santa!  Bring your cameras for photos with Santa.  For more information, check out the City of Oakley Recreation Guide.


Winter Wonderland Holiday Boutique at the Shadow Lakes Event Center, 401 W. Country Club Drive, Brentwood, on December 6, 2015 (Sunday) 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please come on out and shop till you drop. There will be over 40 vendors, photos with Santa and raffles and lots of fun. Check it out on our Brentwood Events page.

 

Hometown Holiday Decorating Contest (Oakley).  The City of Oakley Hometown Holiday Decorating Contest is a festive way to show your community pride and spread holiday cheer.  It is a great project for families to enjoy. So pull out your Santas, sleighs, reindeer lights, and inflatables. Decorations installed by a professional service will not be eligible.  The contest is open to any home within the City of Oakley limits. Limited to the exterior only, front yard and roof only.  Entries will be posted online for the public to vote on and a City Council’s Choice Award. The winners will receive a $100 giftcard to Ace Hardware and a decorative sign for your yard.  Entry deadline December 7th at 5:00 p.m. Voting December 8th to 14th, Winner announced December 15th. Deck The Halls at Cornerstone Christian Center, 1745 East 18th Street, Antioch on December 11, 2015 (Friday) 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and December 12, 2015 (Saturday) 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. In an effort to raise money for the Mission Trip, Cornerstone Christian Center is having their annual Christmas Boutique in the gym.  On Friday, December 11th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. there will be a photographer, music, and lots of booths with handcrafted items.  They are also giving away 5 $50 gift cards. On Saturday Dec 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. there will be more opportunities for Christmas shopping.  Santa will be joining right there at Cornerstone with a professional photographer for those that want your kids picture taken with Santa. They will also have a crew to help you look your best before you take your photos. Breakfast with Santa at the Oakley Recreation  Building, 1250 O’Hara Avenue, Oakley on December 12, 2015 (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m. Includes a continental breakfast of pastries, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee. Children will receive a gift from Santa. Santa will take time out of his busy schedule to join us for breakfast and visit with children. Parents may bring cameras to capture these special moments.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited.  Fee $5. Santa's Arrival at Sand Creek Crossing on December 12, 2015 (Saturday) 1:00-3:00 p.m.  Come and enjoy this FREE event with Santa and friends, street entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides and more! Christmas on the Boardwalk at the Boardwalk Marina, Discovery Bay on December 13, 2015 (Sunday) 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Activities include: window decorating contest, pictures with Santa, gift wrapping, toy drive, lots of food and drinks, and many more to come!  For more information, check out the Discovery Bay Chamber Website.

 

Chanukah Celebration 2015 at the Streets of Brentwood on December 13, 2015 (Sunday) 4:00-5:30 p.m., hosted by Chabad of The Delta in Center Court's Main Fountain. More information at the Streets of Brentwood Events Page.

 

New Year in Paris at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center, 193 Griffith Lane, Brentwood on December 31, 2015 (Thursday).  Doors open at 12:00 noon, lunch at 12:30 p.m.  Come join the party to ring in 2016!  Event will include live music by Romano Marchetti Orchesta, balloon drop, New Year’s favors, and a champagne toast at 3:00 p.m. Lunch will include chicken cordon bleu with accompaniments and dessert.  There’s also a no host bar (cash bar).  Brentwood Senior Club Members $25, Non-Club Members $30.  No refunds.
