20th Annual Brentwood CornFest Set for

Second Weekend of July

BRENTWOOD, Calif. (May 22, 2012) - The 20th Annual Brentwood CornFest, presented by Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, takes place July 13, 14, and 15 at Brentwood Blvd. and Technology Way.

Since 1992, the Chamber along with many volunteers and local non-profit groups
celebrate Brentwood’s agricultural heritage in a three-day weekend of fun, food and entertainment. The festival draws over 40,000 attendees and features:

  • Spectacular Friday night fireworks show

  • An attempt to break the Guinness World Record of Most People Husking Corn (Saturday only)

  • Two stages of continuous live entertainment. Special musical guests include AC/Dshe, Pablo Cruise, Caravanserai, Public Eye, and Malo

  • Kids fun zone with petting zoo, jump houses and games

  • Carnival attractions including amusement rides for all ages

  • More than 200 vendors

  • Lots of tasty food vendors, local grown corn, plus a microbrew and wine garden

  • Information alley showcasing some of the best local businesses

With shaded tents to keep everyone cool from the hot sun, CornFest promises to be loads of fun for everyone.

Proceeds from the event supports members and local charities. Last year, CornFest distributed over $50,000 to local non-profits including VFW, American Legion, Lions Club, Rotary, Soroptimists, Kiwanis, Kids Helping Kids, Brentwood Neighborhood Church, Relay for Life, BSA Troop 90, Delta Diablo Detachment 1155, All-Out Sports League, Knights of Columbus, Emmaus - Catholic Men’s Group, Freedom Athletic Boosters, Heritage Athletic Boosters and Delta Community Services. For many of these non-profit groups, this is the largest fundraiser of the year. CornFest would not exist without its generous sponsors and community support.
