It's our favorite time of the year!

To our long-time residents in the area, newcomers, and visitors,

Welcome to Brentwood Summer!

From festivals and events almost every weekend, to our bountiful U-Pick farms bustling with Brentwood and out-of-town pickers, to an assortment of summer camps and sports leagues to choose from, to a handful of free family movies and afternoon concerts, there is a wealth of activities to choose from in the area this summer. It's a waste to not take advantage of everything the area offers. So get out there, be active, have fun, and enjoy the summer!

Summer Festivals and Events

Mark your calendar for June 12th! The Contra Costa Winegrowers Association Summer Celebration 2011 will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Brentwood Spice & Olive Oil at 70 Eagle Rock Way, Suite A in Brentwood. Savor fine wines from a host of premium Contra Costa County wineries and some wonderfully cooked food. Tickets are at $20 (advance sales) and $25 at the door. Contact Brentwood Spice & Olive Oil @ 925-240-6457 for more information.

Family Fun Day

Another event worth checking out on June 12 is Peace.Love.Swap, happening at The Little Gym of Brentwood, 3850 Balfour Rd from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. For more details on this event, including admission fees, FAQs and volunteer opportunities, check them out here.

Brentwood Family Fun Day, happening on June 25, 2011 at the Sunset Plaza (7710 Brentwood Blvd.) is another event you don't want to miss out on. Admission is free and there will be lots of fun activities for families to enjoy for free or at a small cost - bounce houses for kids, pony rides, petting zoo with beautiful alpacas, crafts and other fun activities, shopping, and live performances. We at EverythingBrentwood.com will be out there to support the event and hand out free bottled water to the first 300 attendees! For more information, check out the 2011 Brentwood Family Fun Day Press Release.

Also, on June 25, Little Miss Everything and Steele Model & Talent Management
will hold a Fashion Show and Model Search at Little Miss Everything in Downtown Brentwood. The show will begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by an educational modeling seminar by Kathy Steele. Registration is $49 and includes a Little Miss Everything tank, tutu, tiara, certificate of participation, and a chance to get scouted by Steele Model & Talent Management! The Brentwood Cornfest, one of the city's biggest annual events, is on July 8-10, 2011. With its new location this year - at Brentwood Blvd. and Sand Creek Road - attendees will enjoy the festivities in a 38 acres location with an additional 20 acres for parking. We at EverythingBrentwood.com are excited and proud to be one of the media partners of The Brentwood Cornfest this year! Fresh Fruits Everywhere

The Cherry-picking season is still upon us, so if you haven't done so this year, get out there and take advantage of Brentwood's summer bounty. Weekends are usually packed so if you live in the area and have the opportunity - do your picking on a weekday. Make sure though that you check with the farm that they are indeed open for fruit-picking on that day! Here's our cherry-picking page for some more tips.

Likewise, take advantage of the Brentwood Farmers Market on Saturday mornings through October 29, from 8:00 - 12:00 noon. This year, the Brentwood Farmers Market is held on 2nd and Maple Streets in Downtown Brentwood. And while there - support our Downtown Businesses! Go to MJ's Downtown Cafe on 1st Street for a great tasting breakfast or lunch, or try lunch at the other Downtown Restaurants and then check out the shops in the area.
