Calling all DADS! We are seeking volunteers to help bring Watch D.O.G.S. to Krey. WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) - is the father
involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for the students and to enhance school security. Contact Marlo Johnson if you are interested in becoming involved with this program. We need at least
180 volunteers to get this program off the ground. Visit www.fathers.com/watchdogs for more information.
Movie Night is Friday, November 4 at 7 p.m. in the MPR. Come dressed in jammies and bring a pillow, blanket and sleeping bag and join other
Krey families for an evening of family fun! Popcorn Combo (includes candy and drink) is available for $1, individual items available for purchase at .50 each. Hope to see you there!
Recently introduced to this national program and inspired by Columbine High School victim Rachel Scott, our children have been learning tolerance for one another in the classroom and in everyday life. This program is designed to inspire, equip and empower our children to make a difference in their school community as well as in their world. With each small act of kindness, "you just may start a chain reaction."
Rachel's Challenge Objectives for Schools:
Create a safe learning environment for all students by re-establishing civility and delivering proactive antidotes to school violence and bullying.
Improve academic achievement by engaging students' hearts, heads and hands in the learning process.
Provide students with social/emotional education that is both colorblind and culturally relevant.
Train adults to inspire, equip and empower students to affect permanent positive change.

Parents Club asked all teachers and staff to fill out a form listing their favorite treats/items. Whether you are planning on buying a birthday gift, something for the holidays or just to say "Thank You" the items listed will definitely make he or she feel extra special.
There are many ways to become involved with Krey Elementary and the Parents Club!
Serve as an officer or committee chair. Individuals are the backbone of our Parents Club and fresh ideas and new faces are always appreciated!
Provide feedback about the Parents Club and school. If there is something you'd like to say, we'd like to hear it! Comments, questions and concerns are always welcomed.
Want to help? The best way to get started is to attend monthly meetings and learn how you can become more involved in your child's education.
