Message from the Board

We are thrilled with all the wonderful parent volunteer response as the school year starts! Our Parents Club Board is welcoming several new members this year, and we have been able to expand our Board to increase our fundraising and event planning.

Our Bilingual Community Coordinator, Balbina Bernal, will be working with Ms. Elsy Solorzano and ELAC to increase volunteering opportunities for Spanish speaking parents. We are welcoming 3 parents, Diana Aicone, Monica Barnett, and Cheri Martinez as Event Coordinators. Their top priority right now is the HalloweenFest and Silent Auction on Oct 29! Jeanne Winding will be expanding our Passive Fundraiser programs, including Box Tops, Campbells Labels for Education, eScrip, SHARES cards, Raleys "Q" cards, and Target CheckCards.

Join us for our next Parents Club meeting on Friday, Sept 10, a.nd 8:30am in Room 4. Spanish translation is always available, since 3 Board members (Laura Aceves, Annette Alvarez, and Balbina Bernal) speak Spanish. Mrs D'Alfonsi will be sharing information on the Accelerated Reader Program.
