Mothers of Brentwood
By Jen Fernandez
Mothers of Brentwood (MOB) offers support to mothers throughout Brentwood. Whether you're a stay-at-home, part-time working, full-time working mom, trying to conceive or expecting, we offer a variety of activities for you and your child(ren).

The largest mothers club in Brentwood, the
MOB is an independently run organization that strives to meet the diverse and changing needs of mothers in our community. Founded in 2005, we have grown to over 200 familes. We are a member-driven organization with a volunteer board.
The MOB has no attendance requirement, whenever you are ready to join us at an event, someone will be there to great you with a smile. This way you choose which events to attend when it fits into your schedule. We offer great events like our Mothers Day Luncheon, Spring Fling, Halloween Party, End of Summer Pizza Party and the Holiday Party just to name a few.
As we are a member driven club, members volunteer their time and talents to put on amazing events throughout the year for our families. It could be helping with decorations, hiding eggs at our Spring Fling, being on an event committee, or serving the club through a board or subgroup position, opportunities are here to get involved.
Do you enjoy activities that benefit the community? The MOB has ongoing events that support various charitable organizations in our community. We also have seasonal projects such as the Backpack Drive, Thanksgiving Dinner Drive, the Giving Tree and Adopt A Family at Christmas.
Remember those hobbies you used to have? Subgroups are smaller groups within the MOB who share a similar interest. Led by our Subgroup Coordinators this is a great way to get some 'me' time and meet some wonderful ladies.
Need to get out of the house and enjoy some adult conversation and company while the kids play? Playgroups are an integral part of our club and have been the foundation for many life long friendships, both for kids and parents! Based on your child's birthday we offer playgroups that meet weekly at a designated time and place.
Have a parenting question or need to sell or buy toys or clothes? As of 2009, the MOB has moved to an online community hosted by BigTent. Under the 'Tent' we have our own secure community with message boards, event calendars with RSVP functions, subgroup pages and an online marketplace to sell or buy items from other members. Our membership renewals are also processed through BigTent, and once approved, members gain instant access to our online community.
Our membership dues vary based on your selection, with the maximum being $62. Membership is open to all residents of Brentwood. Our goal is to use our funds yearly, and to ensure that most, if not all, of our events are free to members and their families. The only membership requirement we ask is that you provide one meal per year for our Helping Hands program. Helping Hands provides meals for other MOB members in a time of need (i.e. new baby, illness or other life event.)
