What is Delta First 5?

Delta First 5 provides families with free classes and support to help children grow up healthy, happy, and learning. All classes focus on expectant parents and children birth to age five and their families. The Delta First 5 Center receives its funding from First 5 Contra Costa. The Center is run by Aspiranet and our  monthly class schedules are located at www.firstfivecc.org.

What is your mission/vision?

To provide families with resources and support to best enhance the child early learning experience. We also support the families in linking them to services within the community to fit their needs.

Please give us some information on the organization’s major projects:

In 2012, the center created a Garden Project in the back of the facility which allows for children and families to have first hand experiences about Nature, Gardening and the process of environmental life.

In the winter of 2012, the agency assisted with distributing holiday cheer and presents to families in need.

How can the community best help your cause, and how can they contact you?

Families can best contact us at 925-516-3880 and ask for Center Director Lynnett Hernandez-Kinnaird, or visit our facebook page.
