Hurry, hustle, stress and bustle. Does this sound like your morning, your week and your life?! We are all so busy these days, we have forgotten how to slow down and unplug. And this fast pace doesn't only apply to adults: children are more over-scheduled than ever these days. We need to stop, take a deep breath, travel in our minds to our "happy place" and simply relax. How long has it been since you actually were in your "happy place"? Maybe it's time to make some new "places."
The Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department has what you are looking for - "Playport to Fun"! This unique program will lead your travels through Brentwood and help you and your family create new happy experiences without leaving town! Each week throughout the summer, one of Brentwood's 57 parks will be featured on our website at www.ci.brentwood.ca.us, choose Parks and Recreation Department, "Playport to Fun!" You will be able to download games, activity sheets, picnic ideas, recipes, fun facts, healthy tips and summer challenges. Four special dates have been selected where staff will host special themed activities. So, join us as we travel through Brentwood and find your "happy place."

Wednesday, June 8 "Play Smart, Enjoy Art" at Veterans Park, 6-8PM
Friday, July 8 "Take Flight" at Heron Park, 3-5PM
Saturday, August 13 "Dog Day Afternoon" at King Park, 9-11AM
Saturday, September 24 "Play Day" at Veterans Park from 2-4PM and from 4-6PM, enjoy a $2 swim at the Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex
