Sunny park and pool days ahead, cherry-picking season in a few weeks, and colorful flowers everywhere - just a few things to look forward to in Spring.
Spring started on March 20, 2010 and summer officially creeps in right around the middle of June. These two seasons are probably the best seasons to enjoy living in Brentwood if you are comfortable with the 90+ degree summer weather.
Final 2+ months of school
The end of spring break brings us to the final 10 weeks of the school year, and with it, our kids' expectations of a fun, relaxing summer vacation ahead. Check out some fun things to do in the Brentwood area.
Fresh pick of the farm
While most of the out-of-town cherry pickers take advantage of Brentwood's bounty right around the May labor day weekend, we in the area can take advantage of this blessing for a few months - on an early weekend morning, a weekday when we're the only ones picking, and anytime in between.

Parks and more parks
Over 50 newer and nicely-maintained parks in Brentwood - more than enough to last us the entire spring and summer season. Don't forget to tell us which of these parks is your favorite!
Pools and more
The Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex at 195 Griffith Lane (corner of Griffith and Balfour) will open for recreational swimming during the weekends starting on May 1st, and including weekdays as soon as the schoolyear is over. Call 925-516-5430 for recorded information or check out their website.
Nearby Antioch Water Park located at the Prewett Family Park and Community Center at 4701 Lone Tree Way opens on May 29th. Find out more at http://www.ci.antioch.ca.us/citysvcs/prewett
The Contra Loma Regional Park's swim lagoon will be open on weekends starting May 1, and daily starting June 14 to September 6. It is located at 1200 Frederickson Lane in Antioch and is part of a beautiful 780-acres regional park. You can view more information at http://www.ebparks.org/parks/contra_loma
