Every town and every city has something that makes it a little unique. For us in Brentwood, it's the unique mix of being able to walk to a golf course, drive 5 minutes to a winery and vineyard, handpick your own cherries and strawberries straight from the farm, have a choice among 50+ lovely parks, participate in the annual cornfest, and still be just an hour or so away from San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
The Annual Brentwood Corn Festival is typically held on the 3-day weekend (Friday-Sunday) after the 4th of July, at the Downtown area. It is probably the biggest community event in Brentwood that is attended by residents and visitors alike. The opening day, Friday, is usually capped by an impressive fireworks display. The cherry-picking season typically starts in May. This is the season when families from all over the bay area drive their kids to the area to sample Brentwood's summer bounty. We have information on our site about this, and will update further as the cherry-picking season gets closer.
There are three picturesque golf courses in Brentwood, all within a 5-minute drive of each other. These golf courses are probably one of the most reasonably-priced in the bay area, and is backdropped by the majestic Mount Diablo. Check out our page on Brentwood golf courses here.
One of the main reasons Brentwood's summertime farmers' market is unique is the fact that a lot of the farmers come from right here in the area. There are still over 40 farms in the vicinity that produce fruits and vegetables that are sold here and in many other farmers' markets in the bay area. That's as fresh as it can get!
